¶ Your First Day In Server
¶ This guide will go through each step taken during your first connection to the server.
Your first day may feel a bit overwhelming especially if you're new to fivem but dont worry the Devoted staff are Devoted to ensuring a smooth beginning for you.
If you need to connect to the server for the first time, head to the Introduction page to learn how. Your FiveM will start and connect to the new server. You will be presented with this screen once the loading screen has finished and the server resources are fully loaded.
¶ Spawning In For The First Time
You will fly into LSIA on your first day. Upon exiting the airport take a moment to familiarize yourself with the HUD elements Understanding the HUD Minimap,status indicators etc.. setup your cellphone, and look into your inventory tab.
¶ Setup Voicechat

Ensure your voice chat is working by holding the N key, the microphone indicator in the bottom left of your screen will fill the perimeter in yellow signifying you are currently speaking. You may also look at your characters mouth while doing this as it will move when you speak IRL.

You may need to adjust your microphone settings in the menu Settings > Voice chat
¶ Get Your Identification
- Make your way to City hall ()

The City Hall locations (one in Los Santos and one in Paleto Bay) are where you can get your ID cards and sign up for independent jobs.

Purchase your ID, Drivers license and any other legal documentation you may need/want. You will need these documents to legally drive, purchase firearms etc..
¶ Get a Job
- You will need a job to earn money to pay for vehicles, houses, furniture, and other activities. Each job has a set pay amount per pay period. The exact time between paychecks is one in-game day (60 minutes in real life) Each job has different ways of earning money, whether the base paycheck or additional activities.
¶ Get Yourself Water and Food

You will need to keep yourself fed and hydrated to survive.

Make your way to any store, can be located from the map using the P key, to purchase these items. once purchased they will be placed in your inventory and able to be consumed.
¶ Use Your Cellphone

Hit the F1 key to bring up your phone.

You can call other players, send texts, view your contacts, or check services (like calling a taxi or police).

You may also download numerous apps from the app store

You can also check your bank account digitally and much more
¶ Take The Time To Learn The Controls

Open your radial menu.

Open your inventory (“TAB”).

Use X to cancel animations and to put your hands up.

Try out basic emotes like /e wave, /e sit, etc.
¶ Begin a Shift At Your New Job

Most jobs have a blip telling your where to go to begin.

Follow the given instructions to complete the work and earn your first paycheck.
¶ Go To The Bank Or An ATM

Banks are fully functional and found throughout the state.

Upon arrival go to the front desk and use your "third eye" ALT on the teller. Now your will be able to access your bank account.

The same can be done at an ATM
¶ Explore The city

The city has many different things to do there are clothing stores,car dealerships,restaurants etc..

Get out and meet the community there are all kinds of different people in the city get out there and make some new friends.

Consider what your next big steps will be do you want to try for a whitelisted job? or maybe a life of crime?
